Create-A-Character℠ Original Cosplay Contest
Have you ever wanted to create your own comic book or manga, or a really interesting character for a video game? This is your opportunity to showcase your original cartoon, anime, space alien, action adventurer or morally ambiguous inkblot character. Create a costume with a great back story, show us your true ingenuity and you could be revered in character history.
Create-A-Character℠ is Cosplay with a Back Story. Come in a Costume that is original, get up on stage and tell your character’s backstory to win … $50 CASH for winner plus weekend pass for next show (winning costume can only win once per weekend).
Heroes aren’t born, they’re made. And this is where they’re created. This contest is for original heroes that not only have cool costume, but also have a creative back story and unique powers and/or capabilities. So strap on your thinking cap, dust off that cape and show us your hero!
In the darkest corners of all of our minds is a desire to rule the world. Villains come in all shapes and sizes and all of them have a different reason for why they’ve turned to life of crime; This is your opportunity to showcase why your villain is the most terrifying and the biggest threat the world has ever seen and have the opportunity to steal the show!

BOXBOROUGH — Get into your favorite cosplay costume and head over to the NorthEast Comic Con & Collectibles Extravaganza this weekend at the Boxboro Regency Hotel and Conference Center. Located at 242 Adams Pl. Boxborough MA, 01719. The event will be held from March 11 to 13. Produced by “Antiques Roadshow” pop culture appraiser Gary Sohmers, of Hudson, the event — which runs Friday through Sunday — brings together comics artists, movie and television stars, cosplayers, live music, comedy and a shopping experience.
BOXBOROUGH BONUS – Boxboro Regency Hotel & Conference Center offers guest rooms for attendees at a discounted rate while supply lasts!
Only $99.00 plus tax per night (limited rooms available). CELEBRITY SIGHTINGS: Among the celebrities signing autographs will be Nicole Kang AKA Mary Hamilton/Poison Ivy of Batwoman, and starred in Orange Is the New Black alongside Ruby Rose. American actress Tara Reid is a well known for playing Vicky in the films American Pie (1999), American Pie 2 (2001), American Reunion (2012), and Bunny Lebowski in The Big Lebowski (1998). In 2013, she starred as April Wexler in the television film Sharknado, and went on to reprise the role in five sequels (2013–2018). LOTS OF LAUGHS: The 2021 ComicsCon StandUp Comedy Battle Royale is part of the fun. Preliminaries are Friday and Saturday, with finals on Sunday. Come for the laughs, fame, glory and prize money. It’s all included in ComicCon admission. Who will slay the competition and leave the audience in stitches to become the last surviving comic, taking home a $500 cash prize? Anyone can enter. (PG 13)
