This year, we have some incredible guests and activities planned for you, including the Children’s Cosplay Parade, the Cosplay with a Back Story Contest, and the Pose-Offs on Stage. On Saturday at noon and Sunday at 1:00 pm, bring your favorite superhero, princess, and character to join in on the Children’s Cosplay Parade! And speaking of contests, the Cosplay with a Back Story Contest is one you won’t want to miss. Hosted by Carley Winn, Zombie Leader, and their Amazing CosFriends, this contest is all about originality. Come in a costume that is an original design and get on stage to tell your character’s backstory. The winner will receive $50 in CASH and the approval of the audience!
But that’s not all. Carley Winn, a cosplay enthusiast and member of Heroes for Hire, a cosplay charity group, will also be hosting the Create-A-Character Cosplay Contest for Cash Prizes in the Courtyard. This is your chance to showcase your creativity and design skills, and potentially take home some cash!
In addition to these amazing contests, there will be Pose-Offs on Stage all weekend long. Get ready to strike a pose and show off your cosplay!
But that’s not all. Zombie Leader will be raising money for Leukemia and Lymphoma Research by selling original art, and prints, and offering photo op donations with cosplayers. So not only will you be having a great time, but you’ll also be giving back to a great cause.

Carley Winn loves cosplaying Harley Quinn and has been doing so since 1998. She has over forty versions of this character alone. She is a long-time comic book fan of everything from Batman to X-Men. She also is very knowledgeable about retro video games and tabletops and has helped run several LARPs. She was mostly self-taught with help from Gosu Loli magazine, which she discovered while studying in Japan. This led her to sew Lolita fashion, and through cosplay, she has made everything from ball gowns to battle wear. What she loves most about cosplaying is doing so with others and for charitable causes. She is a member of Heroes for Hire, a cosplay charity group, and she is also on the board of directors for Circus Complex, a nonprofit circus arts school in Newton.
Carley will be hosting the Create-A-Character Cosplay Contest for Cash Prizes in the Courtyard and the Kids Cosplay Parade Saturday and Sunday.Â
Cosplay fun will be in the Main Courtyard of the Boxboro Regency Hotel during NorthEast ComicCon & Collectibles Extravaganza.
