Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Nicholas Brendon will be appearing at the Northeast Comic Con & Collectibles Extravaganza, March 4 & 5 at the Hanover Mall Event Center in Hanover MA, about 20 miles south of Boston.
Most people don’t know that Nicholas Brendon has an identical twin brother, who appeared as a malevolent double of his character on Buffy the Vampire Slayer in the episode “The Replacement.” Nick took up acting in order to overcome his stuttering. He also aspired to be a pro baseball player while growing up, but an arm injury derailed his dream. Nick’s first professional acting gig was a Clearasil commercial. After giving up on show business after two years of acting, three years later, Nick gave it a second shot and landed the role of Xander on Buffy the Vampire Slayer within a week. Nick also appeared on 21 episodes of the television program “Criminal Minds” between 2007 and 2014.
Nick will be at the show Saturday and Sunday signing autographs, taking photos with fans and doing a Q&A on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and his career.
Also appearing will be Adam West and Burt Ward from the TV show Batman, Mark Goddard of Lost In Space, Rob Bruce of AMC’s Comic Book Men. Appearing Saturday only will be WWE superstar Mick Foley.
The Northeast Comic Con & Collectibles Extravaganza is open Saturday from 9:30 am till 6:00 pm and Sunday from 9:30 am until 5:00 pm.
