Author Sam Miserendino will be showcasing and signing books in his Addicted Animal Series. Children’s books for former children, each book provides a twisted take on If You Give A Mouse A Cookie. An attorney by day, an author by night, Sam is also a father 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Sam was inspired to write about beer-drinking rabbits and bong-smoking bears while fulfilling the latter role. After reading tales about carb-addicted moose, mice, and pigs to his son and daughter for the millionth time, Sam’s mind wandered to other creatures with various addictions. Sam lives in Buffalo, New York, with his wife, two children, two dogs, and two cats, none of which are hooked to anything other than television, chew toys, and catnip. He just finished his 6th story in the Addicted Animal series, If You Give An Elephant Edibles, is set to be released in August 2023, but is available for pre-order on Amazon now!

Sam Miserendino: Addicted Animals Book Series

If You Give a Bunny a Beer (Addicted Animals Book 1)

Here is the story of a rabbit who had just one too many. Following the success of other adult-themed parodies of children’s books, author Miserendino presents a delightful tale that will entertain readers with its charming combination of innocence and lack thereof.

If You Give a Bear a Bong (Addicted Animals Book 2)

A humorous play off of the bestselling If You Give a Moose a Muffin, this book tells the story of a bear that had just one too many bong hits. Following the success of other adult-themed parodies of children’s books, like Go the F*ck to Sleep, author Miserendino presents a delightful tale that will entertain readers with its charming combination of innocence and lack thereof.

If You Give a Kitty a Cocktail (Addicted Animals Book 3)

Following the success of other adult-themed parodies of children’s books, author Miserendino presents a delightful tale that will entertain readers with its charming combination of innocence and lack thereof. A humorous play off of the famous If You Give a Moose a Muffin, the book tells the story of a kitty who plunges into a night of adventures and misadventures after she invites her friends over for a cocktail or two…or three. It’s a night she’ll never forget that she can’t even remember.

If You Give a Dog a Doobie (Addicted Animals Book 4)

Following the success of other adult-themed parodies of children’s books, author Miserendino presents a delightful tale that will entertain readers with its charming combination of innocence and lack thereof. A humorous play off of the famous If You Give a Moose a Muffin, If You Give a Dog a Doobie tells the tale of a pot-loving pooch whose toking neighbor gives him the best treat ever. The book follows the dog as he experiences the highs and lows of being high and it reveals whether or not it’s possible to teach a stoned dog new tricks . . .or to even get him to remember old ones!

If You Give a Lab a Lab: Barking Bad (A Breaking Bad Parody) (Addicted Animals Book 5)

If You Give A Lab A Lab: Barking Bad is a gritty, yet adorable story about a Labrador Retriever who rises from lovable family pet to ruthless dog-treat kingpin after he creates a special blue biscuit that hooks the neighborhood dogs. A gripping tale of power, deception, and chew toys, this fifth book in the Addicted Animal Series takes an unflinching look at what happens when a “good boy” goes bad.

If You Give An Elephant Edibles (Addicted Animals Book 6)

A humorous play off of the bestselling If You Give a Moose a Muffin, this new installment of the Addicted Animals series reveals what happens when pot and pachyderm meet. It is a charming, cannabis-infused tale about a circus elephant who, with the help of an edible or two, flies with the greatest of ease. And even though they say an elephant never forgets, this one does! Following the success of other adult-themed parodies of children’s books, like Go the F*ck to Sleep, author Sam Miserendino presents a delightful tale that will entertain readers with its charming combination of innocence and lack thereof.
