Live Music with Tsunami of Sound, Nervous Eaters, and the Mach Bell Experience
Sunday. July 2 – Tsunami of Sound, Nervous Eaters, and the Mach Bell Experience: The concert will take place on Sunday, July 2nd, at the Collectibles Extravaganza & MusicCon Concerts, Movie & TV Car Show in Boxborough, Massachusetts. The concert will begin at 10:30am with surf band Tsunami of Sound. Then, at 12:30pm, the Nervous Eaters take the stage, followed by the Mach Bell Experience at 2:30pm. TSUNAMI OF SOUND plays Huge surf-inspired instrumentals that will make your head shake and your feet move. The music we create is inspired by the Ventures, Los Straitjackets, Link Wray, the Fathoms, Laika and the Cosmonauts and all instrumental music.
NERVOUS EATERS - Sunday July 2 - 12:30 pm
The Nervous Eaters are an original rock and roll band from Boston, MA who helped define the Boston underground garage/punk rock scene of the late 70’s. The band was formed by Steve Cataldo on the North Shore of Boston in Beverly, MA.
MACH BELL EXPERIENCE - Sunday July 2 - 2:30 pm
Mach Bell is an American rock musician, educator and author, best known as lead vocalist with rock bands Thundertrain, the Joe Perry Project and currently the Mach Bell Experience. The MACH BELL EXPERIENCE (MBE): a hard-riffing quintet banging out Blazing-Hot live versions of Mach's JOE PERRY PROJECT and THUNDERTRAIN classics PLUS NEW original rock like the flashy new single POWER FEVER! Served Dirty, Fresh and Heavy. Hell yea! Mach’s new band the Mach Bell Experience! Ably supported by guitarist Johnny Press (who did a stupendous job recreating those Joe Perry riffs) and bassist Joe Black (former member of ‘70s rockers Balloon). The Cowboy kicked off his set with Chuck Berry’s “Round and Round” and swaggered through selections from his Thundertrain and Joe Perry Project days
The MusicCon & Collectibles Extravaganza will feature diverse attractions, from vintage cars to panels, presentations, and live music concerts. The Monkees custom Pontiac GTO, the Monkeemobile, will be on hand for photo ops! Other celebrity guests include Butch Patrick, who played “Eddie Munster” on “The Munsters,” and Richie Ramone, a former member of the punk band the Ramones.
With daily and weekend passes available, attendees can enjoy various activities, including browsing vendors selling records, musical instruments, memorabilia, autographs, posters, books, and pop culture collectibles, as well as attending concert after-parties on Friday and Saturday nights. For those eager to maximize their experience, special early buyer access will be available at 9:00 am on Saturday and Sunday.
The event begins on Friday, June 30th, with a VIP preview at 3:00 pm, followed by vendor hours from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. On Saturday, doors open at 10:00 am, and the festivities continue until 6:00 pm. Finally, on Sunday, the event resumes at 10:00 am and concludes at 5:00 pm. Detailed schedules for celebrity guest appearances, concerts, photo ops, autograph sessions, panels, and presentations will be posted online!
