Each vendor booth was like stepping into a different musical era or specialty shop. Some showcased vintage records that took you back to yesteryears, while others displayed brand-new instruments, ready to be part of creating tomorrow’s hit songs.

But what really set MusicCon apart wasn’t just the merchandise or the impressive lineup of legndary musicians. It was the sense of community with other music enthusiasts. Watching live concerts and then discussing old and new music, each participant added their own unique rhythm to the event’s ensemble.

One of the true highlights for me was the chance to meet and interact with some of my music idols. Imagine this – having a conversation with Barrence Whitfield of Barrence Whitfield & the Savages, Cherie Currie from The Runaways and June Millington from Fanny. And so excited to be able to say ‘I was even there when June Millington, of the groundbreaking all-female band ‘Fanny’, and Cherie Currie of ‘The Runaways’ were officially inducted into the New England Music Hall of Fame.’ It was surreal to be part of it! I also had the opportunity to meet and talk to Vinny Appice from Black Sabbath, June Millington from Fanny, and Mach Bell from the Joe Perry Project and Thundertrain. These moments were truly unforgettable!

But the part that really made the show for me? Cowboy Mach Bell’s Celebrity Fan-Tasy Karaoke. Guests, vendors, and other celebrities, all singing their personal favorites with Mach Bell and others. It was the perfect high note (and some not-so-high notes) to an unforgettable weekend at MusicCon.

I’d recommend planning to stay for the entire weekend to soak in every moment all day and at the after-parties! The Boxboro Regency and Conference Center offers nice rooms, pet frendily, a great restaurant, and a full bar (with exceptional staff), ensuring a great stay throughout.
