Meet John Wesley Shipp of The Flash in Boxboro MA March 11-13

A Flash Announcement! John Wesley Shipp of Dawson’s Creek, NYPD Blue, and The Flash, will be in Boxboro MA March 11-13, 2022. He will be offering Celebrity Photo Ops And Autographs at the NorthEast ComicCon & Collectibles Extravaganza.

Shipp (born January 22, 1955) is an American actor known for his various television roles. He played the lead Barry Allen on CBS’s superhero series The Flash from 1990 to 1991, and Mitch Leery, the title character’s father, on the drama series Dawson’s Creek from 1998 to 2001.

John Wesley Shipp has also played several roles in daytime soap operas including Kelly Nelson on Guiding Light from 1980 to 1984, and Douglas Cummings on As the World Turns from 1985 to 1986 (which earned him his first Daytime Emmy Award). He won two consecutive daytime Emmy awards for his soap work; the first for As the World Turns and the second for Santa Barbara.

As part of the Arrowverse, Shipp portrays Barry Allen’s father, Henry Allen, Jay Garrick/Flash and Earth-90 Barry Allen/Flash, on the current series entitled The Flash on the CW network. He played Barry Allen / The Flash in The Flash (1990) and his father Henry Allen in The Flash (2014), and of course, The Flash season 8.

The thing I loved about Barry at the beginning was that he’s, he’s a regular guy caught in extraordinary circumstances.

Come meet John Wesley Shipp at the NorthEast ComicCon & Collectibles Extravaganza Cabin Fever Show at the Boxboro Regency Hotel & Conference Center, March 11-13, 2022 in Boxborough, MA.
